12th October 2003
Windsurfing: Ynyslas Estuary
Wind Direction: E/SE
Wind Stength: 15 knots
Surf / Sea State: flat
Air Temperature: 15
Sea Temperature: 15
Weather: Sunny
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Arrived in Borth for the Boarwsie demo. Had a quick look at the new kit with Jules and met Al who had been out for a session in the estuary earlier. Dave and Sarah turn up too to check out the new kit.

Bjorn Dunkerbeck was there displaying his speed kit, really small, narrow and light stuff! Hold on Bjorn Dunkerbeck in Borth, have I been drinking?

Any way the wind wasn't quite filling in so off to the estuary for a session before all the water disappeared. The easterley affect of the estuary was working and made it sailable.

The tide was going out but the wind was in the right direction to go up and down the channel.

There were about 4 kites out having fun. 15 knots so I went for a 7.5m and the Mistral Flow 113ltr and 40cm slalom fin. Some very nice powered up runs felt very good, much more control than last Saturdays mad session.

Interesting sailing with the tide rushing out as the water was really moving by the end of the session. But I was still planing full on against the water direction so a good little session.

Then it was back to the Golf course to sail the new kit all afternoon. See next entry for that.
